For 25 years, Shireen Abu Akleh has brought
us stories from Palestine, the oppression of
the Israeli Occupation Forces, the suffering of
Palestinians.
On May 11th of 2022, Israeli forces deliberately targeted Shireen and murdered her in cold blood in Jenin, an obvious and desperate attempt to silence her.
For us at Al Jazeera, we lost a friend, a colleague and a role model.
We are here to ensure her story is kept alive and spread her message farther than ever before.
